On Sep 9, 2026, the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) of BBB National Programs recommended that LOVEWINX, Inc. modify or discontinue certain social-media earnings claims after an independent monitoring inquiry covering 12 posts on Facebook and Instagram. DSSRC said the claims risked implying that typical salesforce members could achieve substantial income, financial independence, early retirement, debt elimination, or full-time career income. LOVEWINX removed or modified seven posts and documented outreach on five remaining posts from former members; the company stated it "agrees to comply with DSSRC's recommendation," and DSSRC will continue monitoring.

The kinds of posts that drew attention The DSSRC decision quotes the posts it reviewed. They include:

  • A promise of "exponential income" and the chance to "determine your own financial destiny"
  • A seller saying the business let them put a child through college, take family vacations, and "RETIRE EARLY"
  • Questions like "Want to pay for the holidays in CASH? Want to become debt free?"
  • A claim of "making MORE than ever before" after a compensation change
  • Framing the opportunity as "a new full-time career"

None of these name a dollar figure. That is the point: lifestyle and "quit your job" language can be an earnings claim on its own.

What DSSRC is DSSRC is the direct selling industry's self-regulation program, run by BBB National Programs. It monitors earnings and product claims and can refer cases to the FTC when a company does not comply. The FTC's own guidance on multi-level marketing covers the same ground.

It's another reminder that DSSRC and the FTC watch lifestyle and "quit your job" posts. Train hosts and leaders to talk about typical results. Our field social earnings claims checklist lays out what to look for.
